On 13th March, 25 of the Network members attended our first Wellbeing Day at the Riverside Stadium.  The Team worked hard to put together a day that would mean Peers could leave feeling upbeat and like their cup had been refilled. The day began with a Network Update, we then had a singalong (and some of us danced!) with the wonderful Chris from The Rise Up Community CIC.

Terry Doyle then took us through some thoughts around Wellbeing and Resilience which really struck a chord with a lot of us in the room. After lunch (which was very nice, I have to say!), we split into 2 groups to do an hour's Co-reflection, talking about how our work can impact on us, our own mental health and steps we can take to look after ourselves. Peers then had a chance to take part in either a Sound Bath or a Mobility Flow to finish off the day.

Feedback on the day included:-

  • Great day. More events needed
  • More socialising to meet other peers
  • I really enjoyed the sound bath, getting together to eat and chat
  • More Wellbeing Days like today would be great
  • An opportunity to meet on a more regular basis
  • Wellbeing Days each quarter would be greatly appreciated –P.S. thank you for today, it is appreciated more than you can know!

Plans are afoot for smaller Wellbeing Days in each area, quarterly whole Network Days and more chances to get together.  Keep an eye on your emails and our social media
